Anthem Inc.'s Name is Changing
Anthem, Inc., has filed a preliminary proxy statement to change its name. The new name, pending shareholder approval in May, will be Elevance Health. This change will have no impact or changes to their plans, coverage, or level of support. They will continue to do business in many states, including Virginia, as Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. International Student Plans from IMG
Most universities require international students to obtain medical coverage during their studies in the U.S. IMG products meet many schools’ coverage requirements and can be less expensive alternatives to university-sponsored health plans.
Two plan options include the Patriot Exchange Program and the Student Health Advantage.
UHC Participation Change for 1-50 Groups
Please note the following change to the UnitedHealthcare participation requirement for fully insured 1-50 size groups for June 1, 2022 and later effective dates. A minimum of 75% of eligible employees must participate after valid waivers have been accounted for. Valid waivers include Tricare, CHAMPUS, spousal, dependents under 26 on parents' coverage, Medicare, and Medicaid.
