Small Group Participation & Contribution Holiday
November 15 - December 15, 2024
The ACA requires health insurance issuers to offer small groups a special open enrollment period each year from November 15 to December 15. This SEP allows small groups to enroll in a group health plan without having to meet employee participation and employer contribution requirements.

The Holiday is only available to small groups (1-50 employees).

Applications must be signed between November 15 and December 15.

The Effective Date of Coverage is January 1, 2025

Final paperwork must be submitted to the carrier on or before December 15 - NO EXCEPTIONS. TFA will need all groups by noon on Friday, December 13, including the EFT form or physical check for the first month's premium.

No employee minimum participation or employer minimum contribution requirements!

Eligible employee(s) still need to complete a waiver but do not need to have other valid coverage.
